The number of administered Covid-19 jabs rose to three crore 41 lakh 49 thousand and 126 in Rangpur division with the inoculation of more 40,731 doses as the first, second and booster doses on Wednesday.
"Among the administered Covid-19 jabs on Wednesday, 37,028 doses were inoculated to the children aged 5-11 years as the first doses," said Acting Divisional Director (Health) Dr Habibur Rahman on Thursday.
So far, a total of 12,84,998 children aged 5-11 years of 3,562 primary level educational institutions were administered with the first dose of the Covid-19 jabs in the division.
Till Wednesday, a total of 1,49,45,122 people got the first doses of Covid-19 jabs, and of them, 1,32,60,314 got the second doses and 59,43,690 as the booster doses in the division.
Meanwhile, the total number of Covid-19 patients rose to 64,948 as one fresh Covid-19 case was diagnosed after testing 11 new samples at the positivity rate of 9.09 percent on Wednesday in the division.
The number of recovered Covid-19 patients remained steady at 63,621 no more patients healed during the last 24 hours ending at 8 am on Thursday in Rangpur division.
"Besides, the number of casualties remained steady at 1,293 as no new death was reported during the last 24 hours," Dr. Rahman added.
