Bogura Mohammad Ali Hospital has started seeing patients again in the outpatient department. After 3 months, the external department was started.

Department of Medicine, Gynecology and Surgery has started allowing outpatients since Sunday. It is learned that all the departments including pediatrics, nose, ear, throat and eyes will be introduced in phases. With the introduction of outpatient department, patients are coming for treatment every day.

Dr Shafiq Amin Kajal, Resident Medical Officer (RMO) of Bogura Mohammad Ali Hospital said, “Corona Isolation Unit was launched here at the end of March.

Since then, the outpatient department of the hospital has been closed. Here patients are admitted with corona and symptoms from the surrounding districts including Bogura. That's why outpatient medical services are closed.”

Hospital Superintendent Dr ATM Nuruzzaman Sanchay said a 50-bed corona unit has been launched at Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital recently.

Meanwhile, corona infections are decreasing in Bogura, which is reducing the number of corona patients in Mohammad Ali Hospital.

Therefore, it was decided to start an outpatient department in the hospital. However, as the corona is a specialized hospital, no other patients will be admitted or any indoor service other than corona will be provided, the RMO said.
