Bangladesh captain Litton Das, who earlier told in the post-match press meet that the reason of the defeat was dew factor, finally admitted that their performances were not up to the mark against a rejuvenated United Arab Emirates in the three-match T20I series.

Bangladesh, who won their first match to take lead in the three-match T20I series, went down in the last two matches to concede the defeat 2-1.

Ahead of their Pakistan tour, after losing the three-match T20 series against UAE, Bangladesh captain Litton Das told, “Definitely, it’s not up to the mark when you come here always thinking to win the game, but still, this is part of life.

“And when you play cricket, sometimes the opposition plays really well. Credit goes to them also. Still, we made a couple of mistakes in batting as well,” said Litton, who was appointed captain up to nest T20 World Cup.

Following the 191 runs in the first match, in the second game Tigers set a massive target of 206 for UAE but the hosts chased down by eight wickets to level the series 1-1 with winning the match by two wickets. But the Tigers experienced more humiliating after going down in the series deciding third game by seven wickets.

It was very poor batting display for Bangladesh in the third game when they were restricted to just 162 runs for nine wickets. The Tigers, at one stage slumped to 84-8 but thanks to Jaker Ali Anik and Hasan Mahmud’s late surge gave them a respectable total to defend.

But on the day the bowlers also failed to reveal their strength to dominate over the UAE batters, who comfortably reach the paltry target.

However, Litton also saw the dew's role in the defeat in last two matches, saying that the dew at night made the bowlers' task tougher.

“Today, I feel that this is not up to the mark. We couldn’t do what we want to do on this surface and this condition. We bowled second in the last three games, and so dew came to the fore. The dew is the main factor to neutralize our bowlers' efficiency,” he remarked.

Thugh the captain saw some positives in the batting when Parvez Hossain Emon scored a century in the first match, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Jaker Ali Anik and Towhid Hridoy also batted well.

“Parvez Emon and Tanzid Tamim played well in a couple of games, Hridoy and Jaker batted really well. And in the middle, a couple of guys bowl really well. But still, we have to learn, learn more, and execute in the match,” he said.

Bangaldesh captain also show some respect to UAE players’ confidence and grabbig their historical series win.

“The UAE played really well today. They played really well in the first half. They bowled well, and that's why we couldn't score that much,” he said.

“But in the batting, they get favour of dew a little bit. Still credit goes to them, whoever bats in the middle, batted well. They don’t panic that much, and credit goes to them.”

Meanwhile, Bangladesh team is scheduled to leave UAE tomorrow for Pakistan to play their three-match T20 series to start from May 28.
