The High Court (HC) on Thursday deferred till June 20 the date of passing order on a rule asking BRTC and Swajan Paribahan to pay Taka one crore to the family of Rajib Hossain, who succumbed to his injuries on April 17, two weeks after getting caught between two buses in the capital, reports BSS. Thursday was fixed for passing the order, but the High Court division bench comprising Justice JBM Hassan and Justice Md Khairul Alam reset the date over disputes in insurance of the vehicles.

Rajib Hossain, a third year bachelor degree student of Government Titumir College, died on April 17, 2018, ending a two-week struggle for life after losing his right hand being trapped between two speedy buses at Sonargaon Crossing in the city on April 3. The High Court after holding hearing on a writ filed in this regard, issued a rule asking the authorities of Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) and Swajan Paribahan to pay Taka one crore to the family of Rajib.
