The opposition and its allies are now in multiple crisis.

Since the BNP and its allies are suffering from leadership crisis, they are not able to take decisions on what to do or what not.

The crisis has developed due to contradictions and mistrusts among the leaders.

In the circumstances, the BNP-led opposition parties are now resorting to destruction as per the directives of their so-called leader in exile Tarique Rahman.

Sources said, Tarique Rahman now in exile in London wants his party leaders and activists as well as the allies unleash destruction and create anarchy in order to destabilise the situation of the country.

Besides, some of the senior leaders of the BNP are now in an embarrassing state due to a conflict between BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and her son acting Chairperson Tarique Rahman over the leadership of the party.

The party sources said, most of the senior leaders of BNP feel uncomfortable with Tarique’s unrealistic and unethical decisions. The BNP leaders do not agree with what Tarique wants staying in London in exile.

As per the directives of Tarique Rahman, BNP-Jamaat is trying to carry out destructive activities with the support of Jamaat, extremists, anti-state and anti-liberation forces. These forces are also busy hatching conspiracy at home and abroad against the Sheikh Hasina-led present Awami League government since ago.

The main objective of these forces is to oust the Sheikh Hasina-led present Awami League government and in the name of its ‘one-point demand’--‘Formation of a Caretaker Government’.

But the 'Caretaker Government' system is undemocratic and unconstitutional and also rejected by the Supreme Court of Bangladesh.

Since the BNP and Jamaat would not be able to come to power through democratic way, their target is to let the undemocratic forces to take over power of the state.

Alongside anarchy and violence, the BNP, Jamaat and their allies also found to be busy with propaganda, spreading of rumour against the government and its various activities for the betterment of the people and progress of the country.

They are also hatching conspiracies against the government and the state staying at home and abroad.

On the other hand, a large section of leaders and activists in the grassroots are no more willing to continue anti-government movement or violence. Rather they are in favour of taking preparations to participate in the general elections.

Sources said grassroots level leaders and activists of BNP are busy taking preparations for taking part in the upcoming elections.

In the circumstances, gap between the central leaders and those of grassroots level widening.

Meanwhile, the main opposition in the National Parliament, Jatiya Party is also suffering from intra-party feud and leadership crisis.

Although Jatiya Party chairman GM Quader wants to stand against the present government, he could not do anything as Roushan Ershad, the party’s chief patron and also the Opposition Leader, does not support him.

Roushan wants the next general election to be held in democratic way and as per the Constitution.
