An open budget and planning meeting of 8th Chila Union Parishad of Mongla Upazila for the fiscal year 2020-21 has been held. The planning meeting was held at the Union Parishad auditorium at 3 pm.
Chila Union Parishad Chairman Gazi Akbar Hossain presided over the open budget and planning meeting. Chairman of Mongla Upazila Parishad Abu Taher Hawlader was present as the chief guest at this year's open budget planning meeting.
Special guests Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Rahat Mannan and Upazila Vice Chairman Md Iqbal Hossain and Women Vice Chairman Kamrun Nahar Hai were present in the meeting.
At the open budget and planning meeting, Chila Union Parishad Chairman Gazi Akbar Hossain announced a surplus budget of Tk 4,56,69,212 for the fiscal year 2020-21. The total surplus in the budget is 63,770 taka.
Chila UP Chairman Gazi Akbar Hossain said the budget for the fiscal year 2020-21 has been announced with priority on health, education, drinking water, climate disaster management and social security diversification programmes.
In the planning meeting, the budget of Chila Union Parishad for the fiscal year 2020-21 was unanimously approved through the participation of students, farmers, workers, health workers, imams, freedom fighters, teachers, women and development workers and people from different walks of life in the area.
