Online workshop on music, classical dance by Indian High Commission

The Indian High Commission in Dhaka has announced commencement of online workshop on music and classical dances for the Bangladeshis during the coronavirus lockdown.

The Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre will conduct those workshops with the renowned Bangladeshi artists who studied in India under the ICCR’s scholarship scheme, the High Commission said.

The topics include Rabindra sangeet, Nazrul geeti, Rabindra nritya, Bharatnatyam dance, Odissi dance, and Manipuri classical dance. Interested persons have been requested to register through the website: https://www.hcidhaka.gov.in/igcc_reg

Registration is open to all for this free workshop. But seats are limited and registration will be done on first come first serve basis.  Sadi Mohammad will conduct the Rabindra Sangeet workshop while Sujit Mustafa will teach Nazrul Geeti.

Tamanna Rahman will conduct Manipuri Classical Dance classes while Sharmila Banerjee will take workshop on Rabindra Nritya, Benazir Salam on Odissi Classical Dance and Anisul Islam Hero on Bharatnatyam.
