Country’s new online news portal “Views Bangladesh’ has started its journey on Thursday with the slogan “Promoting Positive Bangladesh’.
Dhaka University former Vice-Chancelor Professor Dr. AA M S Arefin Siddique formally inaugurated the news portal on Thursday at Hotel Sonargaon in the capital.
In the opening ceremony, Chief Guest AAMS Arefin Siddique expressed hope that Views Bangladesh will reflect representative’s opinions.
He said, Views Bangladesh is committed to highlight the positive Bangladesh. There are many negative issues in Bangladesh. But we want to move forward with positive things.
He also hopes that Views Bangladesh will publish news independently and will be accountable to the truth.
Economist Dr. Kazi Khalikuzzaman Ahmad said, its a new type of media. The opinions along with the news will be possible to know immediately.
He also said, people are important to me. He expressed hope that Views Bangladesh will highlight the opinion of all the people of the country.
Economist Abul Kashem Fazlul Haque, NBR Former Chairman Dr. Mohammad Abdul Majid, National Press Club General Secretary ShyamalDatta, BFUJ- Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists President Omar Faruque, Global Television Chief Executive Officer Syed Ishtiaq Reza, Boishakhi Television Chairman MushfeqAnam, Daily Shmakal Deputy Editor Mahbub Aziz, Agriculture Economist Dr. Jahangir, Writer Malay Chandan Mukhapaddhya and journalist Madhusudan Mandal also spoke, among others.
