One stop service under land ministry to begin from June: Saif

Construction of Bhumi Bhaban Complex is progressing fast to make it a cluster of all the land service-providing agencies for rendering one stop service to the people from June next, reports BSS.

Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury visited the progress of the complex construction at Tejgaon in the city on Wednesday. “The ongoing digital land service programme will be more dynamic, if the one stop service programme would be operated by all the service providing departments and agencies under the same roof,” said the land minister.

As per the instruction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the government is constructing a 13-storied Bhumi Bhaban Complex with a space of 31,000 square meter at a cost of nearly Taka 106 crore, according to a ministry release. All the land related offices, including the Land Record and Survey Department, Land Reform Board, Land Appeal Board and bank, booths, prayer room and food cafes will be set up in the complex building.

On the occasion of Bangabandhu’s birth centenary, the land minister announced that a mural of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman also will be installed in the complex Bhaban. Director General of Land Record and Survey Department Md Taslimul Islam, Land Ministry’s Additional Secretary Md Abdul Haque and other land ministry officials, among others, attended the programme.
