One more Covid-19 patient died during the last 24 hours ending at 8 am on Friday in Rangpur division.
Health officials said the new Covid-19 related casualty was reported from Rangpur district raising the total number of fatalities to 1,292 in Rangpur division. Meanwhile, four fresh cases were diagnosed after testing 151 samples at the 2.65 positivity rate on Thursday.
"With the diagnosis of four new cases, the total number of Covid-19 patients rose to 64,909 in the division," Divisional Deputy Director (Health) Dr Habibur Rahman said.
The total number of recovered Covid-19 patients remained steady at 63,549 as no more infected patients healed during the last 24 hours in the division. At the same time, more 99,325 doses of Covid-19 jabs were administered as the first, second and booster doses on Thursday raising the number of inoculatedvaccines to three crore 31 lakh 23 thousand and 461 doses in the division.
Among the administered Covid-19 jabs on Thursday, 90,361 children got the jabs as the first doses on the third day of the vaccination campaign launched for children aged 5-11 years.
"Among the total administered Covid-19 jabs so far, 1,40,11,639 doses were inoculated as the first doses, 1,32,53,491 as the second doses and 58,58,331 as the booster doses," Dr. Rahman said.
