An elderly person was killed when a bus hit him in Gazirhat area of Satkhira district. The accident took place at Gazirhat of Debhata upazila in the district on Tuesday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Mostafa Dhali 70, son of Murari Dhali of Paikpara village under the Upazila.
Officer-in-Charge of Deobhata Police Station, Biplob Kumar Saha said when elderly Mostafa Ali was crossing the road in the Gazirhat area of Satkhira-Kaliganj road, a passenger bus that came from Kaliganj hit him, and he died on the spot.
OC further said that Police recovered the body and sent it to Satkhira Sadar Hospital morgue.
