A cow businessman was killed and 14 others injured, in a road mishap at Chandan Chahot Beelpar area of Ranisankail-Baliadangi highway in Thakurgaon on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Gias Uddin 45, hailed from Amtola village under Dusu union of Baliadangi upazila of the district. The injured were sent to Baliadangi Upazila Health Complex.
According to the eyewitnesses, a Nasimon headed to the Nekmorod Bazar of Ranisankail upazila with 13 businessmen and their cows. On the way, wheel of the Nasimon came out and the vehicle overturn on the road. Meanwhile, Nasimon driver and 15 businessmen injured.
Hearing the news, members of Ranisankail Fire Service rescued the injured to Baliadangi Upazila Health Complex.
Officer-in-Charge of Baliadangi Police Station Hasibul Islam said Gias Uddin died at Thakurgaon Adhunik Sadar Hospital on Sunday afternoon while taking treatment.
