A trainee was killed and three others were injured as a training car fell into a ditch in Taleshwar village under Sadar upazila here Monday.
The deceased was identified as Kawsar Ahmed, 25, son of Kamal Dhali, a resident of Katlapara village of Mahakali union of the upazila.
When he was going to Taleshwar Bazar on the training car, the vehicle lost control and fell into the roadside ditch at around 8 am, leaving him died on the spot and three others injured, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Munshiganj Sadar Police Station Aminul Islam said.
The injured were taken to Munshiganj General Hospital, he said.
Later, they were sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital for better treatment.
The body was handed over to the family members, the OC added.
