A motorcyclist was killed as an unknown vehicle crushed his motorcycle in Fakirkandi area under sadar upazila on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Devdas Mollik, 40, hailed from Swarupkati Upazila in Pirojpur district. He was the Deputy Assistant Agriculture Officer of Upazila Agriculture office. Devdas Mollick was going to his office riding the motorcycle from Gopinathpur.
Officer-in-Charge of Gopalganj Sadar Thana Anisur Rahman said the accident occurred this noon in Fakirkandi area.
Devdas died on the spot.
The body was sent to Gopalganj General Hospital.
