One killed in Brahmanbaria road mishap

A man was killed and three others including two women injured in a head-on collision between a CNG-run auto-rickshaw and a pick-up van at Maizhati regional road of Singarbil union under Bijoynagar upazila in Brahmanbaria on Wednesday noon.

The deceased was identified as Anis Mia, 35, son of late Abdul Malek, hailed from Shreepur village of the upazila. The identities of the injured could not be known yet.

Niamul Haque, physician of Akhaura Upazila Health Complex, said that the CNG run auto-rickshaw collided with the pick-up van coming from opposite direction this noon, leaving Anis dead on the spot and three injured. Later, the injured were taken to the Health Complex, he added.
