The members of the Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested a man with four locally made weapons from Mohammadabad union of Sadar upazila here last night.
The arrested man was identified as Ahsan Habib Sweet, 24, son of Khalilur Rahman, a resident of Chakmohan village of the union.
On a tip-off, an operation team of Detective Branch (DB) of police conducted a raid at Chakmohan village around 10pm and arrested Ahsan from his house with the weapons, sub-inspector (SI) of DB police Amirul Islam said.
Later, the arrested was handed over to the Joypurhat Police Station with a case, he added.
