One held with huge fake notes in Khulna

Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) arrested a man and recovered counterfeit notes of Taka around 39-lakh from Zero point area under Labon Chora police station in Khulna city on Saturday afternoon, reports BSS.  The arrestee was identified as SM Mamun, 43, son of SM Motlab Ali, a resident of Paikpara village in Bagerhat district.

They detained Mamun from the area recovered the fake notes and one mobile set from his possession, said a press release issued by KMP. On February 20, police arrested two persons with fake money-making equipment from Khalishpur in the metropolis and seized fake notes of Taka around four thousand, three colour printers, one laminating machine, one laptop, a digital plate of making money, six buckets (refill) ink and two bundles of white paper from their possession, the release added.

During primary interrogation, the arrested admitted their involvement in producing and marketing of fake currency notes in Khulna and other parts of the country for a long time.
