Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged drug peddler with 1.84 kg of heroin from Ranihati Bazar under Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj district on Wednesday afternoon.
The arrested drug peddler is Md Sumon Islam, 23 of Radhakantapur village under Chatrajitpur union of Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj district.
RAB said, acting on secret information, an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp conducted a raid at the aforesaid area at 12-45 pm and arrested Sumon with the heroin. Later, Sumon was handed over to the police of Shibganj thana with a case.
