An injured painter died after falling while working on the 3rd floor of an under-construction building at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST).
On Monday, a laborer named Naeem Ahmed (19) was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital. Naeem Ahmed's uncle, Imran Ahmed, confirmed the matter on Wednesday morning.
Naeem Ahmed collapsed from the 3rd floor while working in the workshop of the civil and environmental engineering department of the university on Monday afternoon. After falling to the ground, he bled profusely from his nose and mouth.
Later, he was rescued from there and taken to Ragib Rabeya Medical. Later, he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.
He died two days after admission. We were shocked to hear about the destruction, according to University Registrar (Acting) Md. Fazlur Rahman. We pray for his soul to rest in peace.
