A tourist drowned in the Bay of Bengal while taking bathe at Seagull Point in the beach area on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Sumon, a resident of Bangshal area in the capital city Dhaka. He went to the beach on Monday along with family. Magistrate Masum Billah from district Tourists Cell said Mohammad Sumon drowned in the sea this afternoon. Later, members of life guard rescued him and sent him to district Sadar Hospital where he died.
