One more Covid-19 patient died and five fresh cases were diagnosed in Rangpur division during the last 24 hours ending at 8 am on Sunday.
Health officials said the new Covid-19 related casualty was reported from Dinajpur district raising the total number of fatalities to 1,288 in the division.
The five fresh cases were reported after testing 43 samples at the positivity rate of 11.63 percent in the division.
The five new Covid-19 patients include three from Rangpur and one each from Nilphamari and Lalmonirhat districts in the division.
"With the diagnosis of the five fresh cases, the total number of Covid-19 patients rose to 64,843 in the division," Divisional Director (Health) Dr. Abu Md. Zakirul
Islam said.
Meanwhile, the total number of recovered Covid-19 patients rose to 63,000 in the division with the healing of 13 more patients during the last 24 hours ending at 8 am today.
In the meantime, more 20,223 doses of Covid-19 jabs were administered on Saturday raising the total number of inoculated vaccines to three crore seven lakh 16 thousand and 314 doses in the division.
"Among the total administered Covid-19 jabs, 1,35,68,794 doses were inoculated as the first doses, 1,29,78,367 as the second doses and 41,69,153 as the booster doses," Dr. Islam added.
