One detained in Noakhali with 9 stolen motorbikes

Police have arrested a young man named Md Mohin Uddin (30) in a raid in Noakhali's Sadar Upazila's Charamatua Union. During this time 9 stolen motorcycles were seized from him. The arrested Mohin Uddin is an active member of the motorcycle thieves' gang, police said.

The accused, who was arrested on Tuesday afternoon, was sent to jail through a judicial court. Detained Md Mohin Uddin is the son of Nurul Amin of Hughli village in Dadpur union. He is a motorcycle garage mechanic, owner and member of the gang.

According to the police, on the basis of secret information, the police led by SI Promoj Chowdhury of Sudharam Model Police Station raided the Moin Honda Servicing Center at Uday Sadhurhat Bazar of Charamtua Union on Monday night. At that time, Mohin Uddin was arrested along with 9 motorcycles stolen from different places of the district from that Honda garage.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Sudharam Model Police Station Anwarul Islam confirmed the matter and said that the arrested Mohin Uddin was an active member of the motorcycle theft ring behind his garage and mechanic business. The members of that gang used to steal motorcycles from different places of the district and keep them in his garage. 

The color of the motorcycles used to change there. He used to sell motorcycles and retail car parts. A case has been filed against him. The operation to arrest other members of the group is continuing.
