Bangladesh reported one death and 102 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours till 8am Friday, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The positivity rate was recorded at 3.42 percent after testing 2,986 samples across the country.
The country reported one death and 137 new Covid cases in the previous day.
The virus has killed 29,418 people and infected 20,34,968 so far, according to the statement.
The recovery count increased to 19,79,800 after another 457 patients
were discharged from the dedicated hospitals during the last one day.
From the beginning of the pandemic, 1.45 percent died while 97.29 percent Covid-19 patients recovered among the infected people, according to the DGHS data.
Among the 29,418 fatalities, 12,941 occurred in Dhaka division, 5,902 in Chattogram, 2,158 in Rajshahi, 3,735 in Khulna, 993 in Barishal, 1,353 in Sylhet, 1,429 in Rangpur and 907 in Mymensingh divisions.
