Bangladesh reported one death and 1,319 fresh Covid-19 cases in the 24 hours till 8am Thursday, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The positivity rate was recorded at 14.32 percent after testing 9,214 samples across the country.
The country reported one death and 1135 new Covid cases the previous day.
The official tally showed that the virus had killed 29,135 people and infected 19,60,528 so far, the statement added.
The recovery count rose to 19,06,232 after another 127 patients were discharged from the dedicated hospitals during the past one day.
From the beginning of the pandemic, 97.23 percent Covid-19 patients recovered among the infected people while 1.49 percent died, the DGHS statistics showed.
Among the 29,135 fatalities, 12,804 occurred in Dhaka division, 5,863 in Chattogram, 2,142 in Rajshahi, 3,718 in Khulna, 982 in Barishal, 1,329 in Sylhet, 1,417 in Rangpur and 880 in Mymensingh divisions.
