Bangladesh registered one more death from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8am Wednesday. The total number of deaths has reached to 29,118 with the latest figure.
The country recorded 134 new infections in the meantime taking the total number of people infected to 1,950,980 according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Wednesday.
The current positivity rate stands 1.27 percent and the overall positivity rate stands at 14.19 percent.
In addition, the death rate now stands at 1.49 percent in the country, added the release. The deceased was a female and hailed from Dhaka.
A total of 10,521 samples were tested across the country till 8am Wednesday.
Some 921 Covid-19 patients have recovered during this period. The total number of recoveries now stands at 1,873,766 and recovery rate stands at 96.04 percent.
As of Wednesday, 6,123,492 people died of Covid-19 across the world and 474,871,882 have been infected so far, according to Worldometer.
