Bangladesh registered one more death in 24 hours from Covid-19 till 8am Monday, after passing four consecutive days without any Covid death. The total number of deaths has reached to 29,123 with the latest figure.
The country recorded 61 new infections in the meantime taking the totals number of people infected to 1,951,831 according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Monday.
The current positivity rate stands 0.78 percent and the overall positivity rate stands at 14.09 percent.
In addition, the death rate now stands at 1.49 percent in the country, added the release.
The deceased was a female and hailed from Chattogram division.
A total of 7,787 samples were tested across the country till 8am Monday.
Some 842 Covid-19 patients have recovered during this period. The total number of recoveries now stands at 1,884,352 and recovery rate stands at 96.54 percent.
As of Monday, 6,176,763 people died of Covid-19 across the world and 491,926,278 have been infected so far, according to Worldometer.
