Bangladesh registered one more death from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8am Tuesday. The total number of deaths rose to 28,062 with the latest figure.
The current positivity rate rose to 2.10 percent. The overall positivity rate stands at 13.86 percent.
The country recorded 397 new infections in the meantime taking the total number of people infected to 1,584,023, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Tuesday.
In addition, the death rate now stands at 1.77 percent in the country. Around 18,938 samples were tested across the country till 8am Tuesday.
The sexagenarian deceased was a woman, added the release.
Some 294 Covid-19 patients have recovered during this period. A total of 1,548,044 people have recovered from the virus so far and the recovery rate stands at 97.73 percent. As of Tuesday, 5,425,714 people died of Covid-19 across the world and 282,006,513 have been infected so far, according to Worldometer.
