Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Mayor Md. Rezaul Karim Chowdhury has commented that Chattogram is ready to welcome the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, which has been developed on the model of 'One City, Two Towns' like as the city of Shanghai in China.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the newly constructed Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Tunnel under the Karnaphuli River in Chattogram, the first in South Asia to connect Patenga and Anwara upazilas of South Chattogram.
CCC Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury made these comments while inspecting the ongoing work of carpeting and beautification of the airport road in front of the city's Patenga Tunnel on the occasion of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's arrival in Chattogram on Monday afternoon.
During the on-site inspection of the beautification work, he checked the quality of the work and if there were any inconsistencies, he gave instructions to the concerned engineers to complete the work within the specified time and solve it quickly.
CCC Ward Councilor Saleh Ahmed Chowdhury, Professor Mohammad Ismail, Mayor's Private Secretary Abul Hashem, Executive Engineer Ashiqul Islam were present along with the City Mayor.
