Police from Jibannagar Police Station in Chuadanga have arrested a man named Uzzal with 65 pieces of Yaba tablets during an anti-drug operation. The arrest took place at around 2:00 PM on Tuesday in the village of Uthli, under Jibannagar Upazila.
The arrested individual, Uzzal (27), is the son of Akkas Ali of Amtala Para, Uthli village, Jibannagar Upazila.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jibannagar Police Station, Md Mamun Hossain Biswas, confirmed the incident. According to the police, the operation was carried out under the overall guidance of Chuadanga Superintendent of Police Khandaker Golam Mowla (BPM-Seba) and the supervision of OC Mamun Hossain Biswas.
Sub-Inspector Shahin Alam of Jibannagar Police Station, along with accompanying officers and personnel, conducted the anti-drug operation on Tuesday afternoon. At approximately 2:00 PM, Uzzal was apprehended from a dirt road under a bamboo grove located on the west side opposite Uthli Ideal Kindergarten School.
Following his arrest, 65 pieces of Yaba tablets were recovered from his possession. A regular case has been filed against Uzzal at Jibannagar Police Station.
