Old returns home with police help

An old man returned to his home after 24 hours with the help of Brahmanbaria District Police on Thursday. Brahmanbaria district police are providing 24 hour service to any person in urgent need of mobile phone without any call from mobile phone from 999 service.

According to the police, Nabinagar Police Station received the information through emergency services last night (09/01/2020), an unknown man was lying unconscious on the sand in front of Halim Haji's house adjacent to the road of Bholachang village.

With the information from Mohammad Gias Uddin, ASI Mohammad Harun-or-Rashid rushed to the spot with his force and rescued the old man and took him to the Nabinagar Upazila Health Complex Hospital.

Later, he identified the old man and called his relatives to the hospital. The old man was identified as Chishtia, 70, son of late Nuru Mia hailed from Vitibishara village under Nabinagar Police Station of Brahmanbaria district. However, his daughter came to receive him after hearing the incident. 

On that day, Additional Police Super Mahedi Hasan exchanged view with local journalists on the occasion of Police Week. At that time, he said any citizen can seek help from any Police by dialing 999 and the service is 24 hours for the public.
