In his speech, Golam Mostafa Bhuiyan has said that Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani was the mass leader who always worked for establishing the rights of farmers and workers as well as the common people. The country’s legendary leader always took stand against imperialism and fought against misrule and misdeeds. We failed to pay due respect to the leader. He should be remembered by the government with due respect, he added.
He also said that Maulana Bhashani played a vital role in Language Movement, Mass Uprising of 1969, Bangladesh War of Liberation and other issues. But we are not paying due respect to him. His contributions are not evaluated properly. We should follow the ideals of Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani for a better Bangladesh, he added.
