Obscure Artist of Bangladesh, a social media-based artist group, is going to organise an online art competition from May 1 to May 30 with an exciting prize pool to support cryptic enthusiastic artists of the country.

Through the event titled ‘Thoughts Behind My Painting’, underrated enthusiastic artists of Bangladesh will be trained into international level artists, said a media statement.

Participants have to submit their paintings in the group along with their ‘thoughts’.

Famous Bangladeshi artist and founding administrator of Obscure Artist of Bangladesh Khadizatul Qubra said, “Most of the artists in our group are self-taught, but their potentiality reflects possibilities of standing internationally.”

“Due to the lack of a proper platform, they are unable to expose their outstanding creativity to the world. So, we are here to give them an equal opportunity to showcase their artworks and encourage them to keep practicing,” she said.

She said through the event, all members of the group will enrich their knowledge of thought process and style of their painting.

The admins and moderators of the group will judge the submitted paintings and the thoughts behind the artworks. The result of the contest will be announced on June 15, according to the release.

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic situation, the group arranged the international online exhibition and a number of prestigious events through the social media.

The admins and moderators of Obscure Artists on Bangladesh are always committed to offering their best services to the members of the group.
