Meer Abdul Mannan, father of Bangladesh Post’s accounts department head Zasim Uddin, passed away on Sunday (January 21).
He was 80. He breathed his last at his residence at Charaicha village of Shaestabad area in Barishal at about 11:45 am. He has been suffering from old age complications for the last few days and he had received treatment from hospital.
Meer Abdul Mannan was buried in his village after Namaz-e-Janaza held after Esha prayers.
Bangladesh Post family expressed deep shock at the death of Meer Abdul Mannan. Journalists and employees working in the English daily prayed for salvation of department soul of their colleague’s beloved father.
