Ferdous Ara, sister of Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, passed away on Wednesday while undergoing treatment at a city hospital. She was 70.
She is survived by two sons, three daughters and a host of relatives and admirers. Her namaj-e janaza will be held at her own residence at House no-19, Road-12, RAJUK Housing, Merul Badda in the city after the Magrib prayers. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wednesday expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Ferdous Ara, sister of Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader.
In a condolence message, the premier prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Another report adds: Information and Broadcasting Minister and Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Ferdous Ara.
