Bangladesh received another bad news after the Women's T20 World Cup was postponed. This time New Zealand team has canceled their scheduled tour to Bangladesh. The New Zealand team was supposed to visit Bangladesh in September to play two four-day matches and three one-day matches. The matches were supposed to be played at Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong and Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox's Bazar.

The Kiwis had to postpone the trip as they issued a travel warning for its citizens to Bangladesh. Confirming Cricket Operations in-charge Shahriar Nafis said, “The board has nothing to do due to travel precautions. It is a state matter. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will talk to them. We hope the tour will not be cancelled. We can organize the series at some other convenient time. The New Zealand team will tour India next October to play three Tests of the ICC Test Championship. They were looking at the 'A' team's tour of Bangladesh as a preparation for that series. Under the changed circumstances that is no longer the case.
