Tollywood actor and first time member of Indian Parliament Nusrat Jahan married businessman Nikhil Jain in a ceremony in Turkey on Wednesday. Nusrat Jahan announced the marriage in a tweet on Thursday morning. She posted a photo from the wedding and wrote: "Towards a happily ever after with Nikhil Jain".
Nusrat Jahan looked stunning as a traditional bride donning a red designer lehenga as she got married to her Kolkata- based businessman beau Nikhil Jain in the beautiful Turkish town of Bodrum. The grand wedding was on Wednesday at the Six Place Kapalankya, a luxury resort located in Milas, 84 km from Bodrum. It was a cosy family affair with friends and families of the bride and groom attending the wedding.
And as soon as Nusrat shared the first post-marriage picture of her with husband Nikhil congratulatory messages and good wished started pouring in. Nikhil owns a textile business in Kolkata, and Nusrat was roped in as the face of his brand. They became acquainted last year and fell head over heels in love with each other.
Actress Mimi Chakraborty, a close friend of Nusrat and also a newly-elected MP of the Trinamool Congress, also attended the wedding. Nusrat and Mimi missed taking their oath in Lok Sabha because of the wedding. IANS reports that Nusrat and Nikhil will host a grand reception at an upscale hotel in Kolkata on July 4, which is expected to be attended by several prominent personalities from the film industry as well as politics.
