In a massive public meeting that echoed with promises of reform, Nurul Haque Nur, President of the central council of Gono Odhikar Parishad and former Vice President of DUCSU, declared a firm resolve to build a Bangladesh free from corruption, misrule, and illegal occupation.

Addressing a rally as the chief guest on Saturday evening, Nur articulated a vision for a new political era, distancing from the country's 50-year-old political culture.

The rally, organized by the Dinajpur district branch of Gono Odhikar Parishad at the local Institute Field, became a platform for a scathing critique of the current political landscape. Nurul Haque Nur left no room for ambiguity, stating that mafias and extortionists would have no place in the nation's politics under his party's vision.

He issued a strong call to move away from the deep-rooted practices of corruption and plunder, positioning his party as a force for genuine change. "In the future Bangladesh, there will be no corruption, misrule, and occupation," he asserted with conviction .

Shifting focus to the economic woes of the northern region, including the agrarian district of Dinajpur, Nur emphasized the critical need to revive defunct industries. He specifically pointed to the closure of sugar mills and the jute industry, framing it as a deliberate act of sabotage.

"Dinajpur had a sugar mill, which is closed today. There were sugar mills in Rangpur and Kushtia; we had our jute industry. These were shut down to cripple the country through foreign conspiracies," he remarked.

Positioning himself as a representative of the youth and his party as a new political force, Nur voiced strong support for resuscitating these sugar and jute industries and reopening all closed factories. He stressed that a planned agricultural policy must be formulated, prioritizing the interests of farmers in an agriculture and jute-dependent country like Bangladesh.

Nur's address outlined a broader economic plan that extended beyond industrial revival. He highlighted the interconnectedness of agriculture, youth employment, and industrial development.

"By giving the highest importance to agriculture, we must protect the interests of farmers while also moving forward with plans on how to create new employment for the educated youth of this country, how to establish industrial zones, and how to build economic zones," he detailed. Additionally, he underscored the importance of taking steps to improve the health and education sectors.

The public meeting, presided over by Md. Shafiqul Islam, President of the Dinajpur district branch, and conducted by General Secretary Md. Golam Azam, saw a significant gathering of party leaders and activists.

The chief speaker was Faruq Hasan, Senior Vice President of the Gono Odhikar Parishad central council. The guest of honor was Krishibid Shahidul Islam Fahim, a member of the party's central higher council.

Speeches from special guests, including members of the higher council and central organizational leaders, reinforced the party's commitment to addressing public grievances and building a unified movement. The presence of central and local leaders signaled a consolidated effort to champion the cause of a corruption-free and prosperous Bangladesh.
