Gano Odhikar Parishad member secretary Nurul Haque Nur has been found to have hatched conspiracy with Israeli espionage agency Mossad to oust the Awami League government.

A photo of Nur and Mossad agent Mendi N Safadi, who is also a member of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party, has been published in various newspapers, online portals and in the social media.

Sources said the meeting that took place in Dubai also aimed to conspire against Bangladesh and run propaganda against the country.

Nur, a former vice-president of Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU), is now staying abroad after he left the country in the name of ‘performing Umrah’ in Saudi Arabia.

Bangladesh did not recognise Israel as a state and has no diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Nur’s meeting Israeli spy and taking pictures with him has raised questions in people’s mind whether he has taken a stand against the state.

Earlier in 2016, when pictures of BNP leader Aslam Chowdhury's meeting with Mendi N Safadi came out, uproar was created countrywide. At one stage, a case was filed against the BNP leader and he was arrested subsequently.

After the photo of Nur and Mendi has been published, many say that Nur is hatching conspiracy against the state with the agents of various intelligence agencies by traveling abroad in the name of performing Umrah.

Sources also said that Nur visited Qatar and Dubai, where he had a meeting with a businessman who fled the country after embezzling a huge amount of money from a bank.

During his Dubai visit, he came on a Facebook Live and delivered various provocative speeches.
