The director of the film Nuhash Humayun confirmed the matter to the media through a post on his Facebook account captioned: "SXSW JURY AWARD - MIDNIGHT SHORTS goes to MOSHARI!! This is crazy" and also shared the official comment from the prestigious award ceremony’s website.

"Moshari is a terrifying, spine-chilling horror tale centring two sisters that renders a fresh take on blood-sucking creatures set in a non-traditional post-apocalyptic world. The compelling performances, the haunting visuals and the layered storytelling highlight the director's command of the genre and make him someone to watch. Nuhash Humayun has the ability to take recognizable elements, flip them on their head and turn them into nightmares. Moshari has created an allegorical story that will resonate with the viewer on a deeper level."

The 22-minute long short short film titled ‘Moshari’ features ‘No Dorai’ famed National Award Winning actress Sunehra Binte Kamal and Nuhash’s niece Onora.  In the film they will be seen playing the role of two sisters Apu and Ayra trying to survive the end of the world, when it is overrun with bloodthirsty creatures, the last of mankind persevere in Dhaka, Bangladesh by spending their nights inside the ‘Moshari’ - the only known shelter from the unknown threat.

Regarding the context Sunehra said, “We shot this film in 2019 in just five days. The story is so intriguing and engaging that we shot day and night without even taking a rest. Nuhash Humayun is one of my favourite directors.”
