Nuhash Humayun going to Asian Film Academy

Busan International Film Festival’ is an important film festival in Asia. The festival's 20th anniversary is set to begin in October this year in South Korea.

Young Director Nuhash Humayun has got a chance at a festival event this year. The name of the programme is 'Asian Film Academy'. This program is primarily about film education. Some of Asia's most established and emerging producers and filmmakers will gather there to exchange their work and ideas.

The 'Asian Film Academy' programme will be held in September, just before the 20th season of the film festival in Busan. This time around 25 applicants from the numerous filmmakers who applied for the program have been selected and Nuhash is one of them.

Regarding his participation in the program, Nuhash said, “I will be attending the program in September for a month. Among the 25 who have been selected I am one of them, there will be exchange of work and ideas on various aspects of films. There will be many workshops. We need to make two short films, divided into two groups which will appear in Busan's main auditorium. The program will also teach how to present or pitch a movie project to international producers.”

However, this is not Nuhash's first Busan tour. He first went to the Busan Film Festival with the movie ‘Eti, Tomari Dhaka’. Busan The film’s world premier took place at Busan. It was Nuhash's first foray into an international cinema. And, this time he joined the International film program.

So far, Nuhash has produced short films like ‘Paper Frog’, telefilm ‘Hotel Albatross’, omnibus Film ‘Eti, Tomari Dhaka’, web drama ‘700 taka’ and ‘Pizza Bhai’.
