NUB, BFDS organise global adapters programme

Northern University Bangladesh, in partnership with Bangladesh Freelancer Development Society (BFDS), has organized an orientation program of global adapters at the university’s permanent campus at Ashkonaon Saturday. Over 100 students of different disciplines of the university participated at the event.

The program was chaired by NUB Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Anwar Hossaain while National Skill Development Authority (NSDA) Executive Chairman Dulal Krishna Sahagraced the occasion as the chief guest. 

NUB Pro-Vice ChancellorProfessor Dr. Nazrul Islam, and BFDS chairman Dr. Tanjiba Rahmanwere also present at the program as special guests. 

In the welcome speech Dr. NazrulIslam talked about the impact of collaborations between universities and skill development societies on the economy by earning foreign remittance. This type of training will increase the self-dependency of the students and graduates. 

Dr. TanjibRahman shared her plans about gradually improving different skills of the students by which they can rely on themselves to secure a better future. 

The Executive Chairman of NSDA Dulal Krishna Saha discussed about the current scenario of freelancers of Bangladesh and some other countries. 

He emphasized that the government has a very positive mindset about this particular sector and they are willing to patronize the youths to utilize their skills for the betterment of the society as well as the nation. 

Lastly, Dr. Hossain advised the students of NUB to give a serious thought on this sector as an alternative career path. 

The participants of the event were also very enthusiastic to unlock the door of a new and unconventional occupational route. And to develop them, the organizers are going the start  focused trainings on specific topics shortly.
