The National University (NU) authority is going to conduct the postponed examinations in September in classrooms, modifying the seating arrangement to ensure health guidelines.
Considering the coronavirus situation, one seat will be left vacant in each bench and the seats will be arranged in ‘Z’ method in a classroom. Moreover, everyone involved in the test is asked to follow the rest of the hygiene rules properly.
NU posted the instructions on Monday night on the university's website.
However, no exam routine has been published yet. But NU sources said, a detailed routine is likely to be published soon.
Due to the deteriorated Corona situation in the country, annual final examinations and semester final examinations of different departments under NU were postponed in March as per the government directives.
However, at present, the situation of Covid-19 has been improved a bit. The inoculation program has been expanded. Moreover, the future of the students has been taken into consideration.
The examination guidelines published on the university's website on Monday night said that all students concerned are being requested to follow the hygiene rules in order to take the exams and participate in the exams. Seats will be arranged at the examination center at a distance of at least 3 feet between the two candidates.
It has also been said that all teachers, examinees, officers and employees will enter the examination center wearing masks. The mask must be worn properly and only be temporarily opened to confirm the identity of the examinee.
The instructions further said that soap and water should be provided for hand washing at the examination venue. If necessary, hand sanitizer will be provided as well.
Moreover, the guidelines state that all health regulations issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) must be followed.
According to the decision of DGHS, everyone aged 18 and above is being vaccinated against coronavirus. Teachers, students, officers and employees who have not yet been vaccinated should be encouraged to be vaccinated.
