Private teachers rallied together in a human chain protest outside the offices of the Private Teacher Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) on Wednesday morning, organized under the banner of the 'Indexdhari Bodliprothashi Oikko Parishad'. Their unified demand: transfer notifications before the fifth public announcement.

Sarwar Hossain, president of the Oikko Parishad, voiced the frustrations of many teachers, lamenting the government's repeated promises of transfer initiatives for private educators without tangible results. He stressed the necessity of issuing transfer notifications prior to the fifth public announcement, a move that could facilitate the transfer process for countless teachers seeking stability in their placements.

Highlighting the hardships

faced by private teachers, Sakibul Islam, the council's general secretary, cited their meager salary of 12,500 taka and the significant distances often required to travel for work. These challenges underscored the urgent need for transfer notifications to ensure teachers can work closer to home and achieve a more sustainable work-life balance.

Leaders of the Oikko Parishad echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the importance of providing teachers with the opportunity to work in educational institutions within their local communities. Despite observing Ramadan fasts, they passionately advocated for quick transfer arrangements, emphasizing the humanitarian aspect of the issue.

The demonstration shed light on the pressing demand for transfer notifications, which could alleviate the hardships faced by private school teachers and offer them greater stability in their careers. As they stood together, their voices united in a call for action, it became clear that addressing this issue is crucial not only for the teachers themselves but also for the quality of education they provide to students across the nation.
