Noakhali Science and Technology  University  Teachers Association (NSTUTA) has strongly condemned and protested against defamatory remarks about   NSTU and NSTU teacher through a Facebook post of an  author named Akhtaruzzaman Azad.

On Sunday night, NSTUTA informed about the condemnation and protest through a press release signed by NSTUTA  President Prof. Dr Newaz Mohammed  Bahadur and General Secretary MD  Majnur Rahman.

NSTUTA said in the statement,  an author named 'Akhtaruzzaman Azad' made a Facebook post on 29 May, where he made defamatory remarks about NSTU and about the naming of new discovered species of  NSTU teacher and Researcher Dr Md Belal Hossain. The post contained false and misleading information and  this has  tarnished  the reputation of the NSTU and NSTU teacher.

“We strongly condemn for disrespecting and defamatory remarks about NSTU and NSTU teacher.  We urge the NSTU  administration to file a case under the Information and Communication Technology Act and solve this issue soon”, they said.

The NSTUTA also added in the statement, they have noticed from the post of  'Akhtaruzzaman Azad' that the false and  misleading information were sent to 'Akhtaruzzaman Azad’ by a junior teacher from NSTU. Which is very unfortunate for them. They urged NSTU  administration to identify the teacher through investigation.
