NSTU inaugurates central mosque

Central Mosque has been inaugurated at Noakhali University of Science and Technology (NSTU) has inaugurated a central mosque on the university campus in Noalkhali.

NSTU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Didar-ul-Alam as the chief guest inaugurated the mosque on Friday noon. Teachers, students, officials and employees of Nobiprabir were present at this time.

The Vice-Chancellor said that the students have to practice for a better life, only then we can build this country as a developed state. The Vice-Chancellor expressed his hope to build a developed and ideal university through the concerted efforts of teachers, students, officials and employees of NSTU.

It is to be noted that the central mosque of NSTU has an area of 10,000 square feet with a three-storey foundation. Construction work on 1st floor has been completed. The mosque has a 60 feet high minaret. 

About 1000 worshipers will be able to perform prayers together at the mosque. There are separate accommodation arrangements for Imams and Muazzins. There are also adequate toilets and drainage systems as well.
