A town hall meeting was held at NRBC Bank's Comilla Zone on Friday at a hotel in Feni. Chairman of the bank, Md. Ali Hossain Prodhania was the Chief Guest in the event.
During the event, the bank's Managing Director and CEO, Dr. Md. Touhidul Alam Khan, DMD and CFO Harunur Rashid, and Kazi Mohammad Ziaul Karim, Zonal Head, Cumilla, along with all officials from branches and sub-branches of the region were present.
In his speech as the chief guest, Chairman Md. Ali Hossain Prodhania said that the classified loans must be brought down from the current 5 percent to zero in the Cumilla Zone comprising Cumilla, Noakhali, Chandpur and Feni.
He emphasized the need to ensure compliance with rules and regulations, transparency and accountability in banking operations.
He further stressed the importance of enhancing the quality of assets by maintaining loan discipline and implementing necessary legal procedures to improve loan recovery.
