Nepal's Deputy Chief of Mission in Dhaka Lalita Silwal has shed light on the growing economic engagements between Nepal and Bangladesh and emphasised the notable progress made in the areas of trade, connectivity, energy and tourism.
The Embassy organized an interaction programme on ‘Enhancing Nepal-Bangladesh Economic Partnership’ Friday evening in Sylhet, Bangladesh.
Speaking on the occasion, she also underscored the crucial role of business community in Sylhet in promoting trade and tourism linkages and encouraged them to explore opportunities in Nepal while building meaningful partnerships with their Nepali counterparts.

First Secretary Yojana Bamjan made a presentation highlighting key areas of economic partnership, underscoring the prospects of enhancing collaboration between the two countries.
Deputy Commissioner of Sylhet Md. Sarwoer Alam stressed the importance of connectivity in enhancing trade and commercial ties between Nepal and Bangladesh.
The programme also featured remarks by the Administrator of Sylhet Chamber of Commerce and Industry, President of Tour Operators Association of Sylhet, and representatives of business associations based in Sylhet.
Participants including prominent business leaders, travel and tour entrepreneurs, and media persons, among others attended the programme.
