Nora Fatehi, best known as a dancer, is known as an 'item girl' in Bollywood; So many people bought tickets for Nora's show in Dhaka to see her dance. But they were disappointed as they could not see this star dancing. They also accused the organisers of cheating.
After much speculation, Nora Fatehi appeared at the Global Achievers Award ceremony organized by Women's Leadership Corporation in Dhaka on Friday, whose dance is seen in the theme of the World Cup in Qatar.
After landing in Dhaka on Friday afternoon, this Bollywood star went on stage at the hotel amid the sound of 'Nora-Nora' from the audience. Coming to the stage, he blew a kiss to the audience, gave a short speech and left the award ceremony.
The price of each ticket for this event was between 5000 to 15000 taka. Audiences are seeing Nora's two-minute speech as a 'cheat' after buying a ticket of so much money.
After the event, a visitor with a VIP ticket told bdnews24.com, “We did not get any of the respect we deserve as VIP customers. We were shown no respect.
“Nora just came, danced like Tik Tok for 15 seconds. After two or four words, he left with the prize. He looked very tired. It seemed as if he had been brought against his will. Only came for two minutes. We didn't see anything else."
Moushumi Akter Nijhum, a private university student came from Mirpur. He told bdnews24.com, "It looks like he was paid just to come, not to dance.
“Nora's dance practice video was uploaded on the page of 'Women Leadership Corporation' and said 'Are you excited to see this video?' followed by a banner of 'Global Achievers Award'. Moreover, the audience was drawn by showing multiple clips of Nora dancing. It is clearly cheating the audience.”
A spectator named SM Abdullah Al Mamun said after the program, "Nora seemed to be forced." He doesn't want to come."
At the end of the event Rifat Jahan, a spectator said, "There were about five hundred spectators. The VIP audience was almost silent after Nora Na danced off. Most of them were gifted
with tickets. But those who came to see the tickets were disappointed. Made a noise. But to no avail.”
Mohsina Khan, a VIP ticket visitor, said, “Nora Fatehi's Facebook Instagram page is full of hi hellos. We came to see the dance. We should not have been let down like this."
A visitor named Sonali Biswas also raised questions about the mismanagement of the event. He said, “Looking at the lighting on the stage, it looks like fog is falling. But Nora is supposed to spread more light when she gets on the stage. The country is insulted by bringing international artistes in such a bad arrangement.”
This arrangement to bring Nora Fatehi to Dhaka was organized by Women's Leadership Corporation, whose founder is Ishrat Jahan Maria (Maria Mrittika Swarna).
In response to the audience's complaint, he told bdnews24.com, “Nora did not have permission to perform. Moreover, he has traveled for seven hours. He was very tired. There was nothing to say in this situation."
Regarding the allegations of fraud, Maria said, “Nora Fatehi did not want to come to Bangladesh. He was persuaded a day ago. There were many problems. Being able to bring him in this state, being able to present him in front of the audience, that's a lot."
