The whole country has been grappling with increasingly intense heat wave for several days in a row.
The people have become vulnerable to rising temperature as suffering in public life is exacerbated by the intense heat associated with the month of Ramadan when majority of the public are fasting.
The meteorological department has given a hint of relief from that unbearable situation. At the same time, the possibility of storms and rain in the country has also been forecasted.
The sky is cloudy in different parts of the country including Dhaka. Evidently, so far it has not rained anywhere in the country. However, there is a possibility of nor’easter sweeping in two regions and three divisions in the coming days.
Meanwhile, a heat wave is sweeping over 6 regions and 5 divisions of the country and it may subside in some regions.
The meteorological department forecasted this on Wednesday.
The forecast for the next 24 hours states that there may be temporary gusts and thundershowers in Comilla and Kishoreganj districts, Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will be mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy skies.
According to the forecasts, mild to moderate heat waves are blowing over Sitakunda, Rangamati, Comilla, Maijdicourt, Feni, Rajshahi and Pabna areas, Dhaka, Rangpur, Khulna, Barisal and Sylhet divisions and may subside from some places.
The increase in light pressure is located in West Bengal and adjoining areas.
Daytime temperatures across the country may remain almost unchanged and nighttime temperatures may rise slightly.
The meteorological department also forecasted that there could be rain and thunderstorm in the next three days and it may continue to the days at the beginning of the upcoming month.
