Noor returning to big screen

Dhallywood actor, politician and activist Asaduzzaman Noor is returning to big screen after 14 years, with a new full-length film titled ‘Chader Amabasya’. National Film Award winner Zahidur Rahim Anjan will direct the government-funded film ‘Chader Amabasya’. The story and the screenplay is based on Syed Waliullah's novel titled ‘Chader Amabasya’.

Regarding the context director Zahidur Rahim Anjan said, “According to the plan, shooting of the film will start next January and he has finalised talks with Asaduzzaman Noor, Iresh Zaker and Dipannita Martin for the film. Soon he will be able to announce the final list of the rest of the artistes by this month.

The director has not yet revealed which character Noor will play in the film. The actor, who is known as Baker Bhai, was last seen in Chorki’s web series titled ‘Don't Write Me’. The fifth story of anthology series titled ‘Unoloukik’ written by Shibabrata Barman and directed by Robiul Alam Robi. Individual episodes explore the psychoanalytic journey of the human mind. 

Zahidur Rahim Anjan's first full-length film titled 'Meghmallar' was based on the story of Akhtaruzzaman Elias’s 'Raincoat'. Anjan won the National Film Award for Best Director and Best Dialogue for the film. 

In 2007, Asaduzzaman Noor was last seen in Humayun Ahmed directed film titled ‘Noy Nombor Bipod Shongket’.  Although, he was quite active on small screen but not seen on the big screen.
